Which wine can match hot pot?

After we.finished exam of grape and wine production, we come to eat hot pot, and also, we discuss which wine can match the hot pot! Riesling, Sparkling and sweet wine. I prefer to drink sweet wine because hot pot is so hot! I need water, I need sweet!

The last week for preparing for exam is really terrible and busy, crazy for too much content of Grape and Wine production. I have not finish reviewing all the objects! Opps, Megan found I took a photo when she is studying!

Chrismas pageant coming

Hi, today is the annual Christmas Pageant around the city! It is exciting and I do not know the Santa will go to  David Jones after finishing the pageant! There are cute animals, characters in movie and even terrible ghosts! What a happy time!

Catch a snail in vineyard

Guess what I catch today?

 Here is the answer! A small and beautiful snail! Does it interesting that I put it on my notebook with a cute dog? The manager in vineyard told us there are millions of snails in each vineyard as we see. But they seem not to worried about it as one of the bad pest which may destory the vines. He just said snails do not has that appetite to eat many fruit! Ok, once there are a lot of snails here, this one in photo, I will bring it back to my backyard! So happy!

Whole scene of Barossa Valley

 Today, I travel to Langmeil winery and also go to the hill to watch the whole scene of Barossa Valley. It is so beautiful, isn't it? After I study in Australia, I love to travel wineries, if someone can drive me there.

Aromas

Hi, I think you may know there are some specific aromas of different variety of wine. I just curious that how the aromas like meat, wet paper comes.

Grape vine

The grape vine in my backyard has been fruit set stage. There are  some obvious and cute little grape on it. I am so suprise and delighted to find them. I used to prun them in winter. I hoope I can meet them harvest, but I recently move out. What a pity!

Hi, what is your choice to spend time on Friday? I know a lot of people love drink beer, since we live in Australia, why not try some wine?

Terrible highest temperature

Today, I heard that the average temperature this year is high than past years, and it is predicted that temperature of the hottest day may reach 50°C. What a terrible news. Since it would damage to vine and berries occurs when the high temperature is over 40°C, how vines and berries occurs and go through with such high temperature! Pray for them!

Taste new wine

I tasted four bottles of wine when the class of WSET 2, they are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. And we blend one of bottles of Merlot from Yulumba with Carbenet Sauvignon from Hutten Vale . It tasted good that the sharp tannin, high alcohol and high alcohol of C.S became soft and smooth. So, if you feel C.S is too much for you, you can try blend some Merlot in it.

Street 3D Painting!

It was crowded in Rundle Mall yesterday not only because it was Halloween but also Adelaide Art Festival. There are a lot of artists showing on Rundle Mall, Here is one of my most favurate art. It looks like a real hole with underground soil and pipeline. I really admired the artist.

Fantastic Halloween Party in Uni SA

I an invited by one of my friends who is studying in Uni SA to Halloween Party. This is the first time I take part in a Halloween Party. Before I went there, I have no idea how to dress up and make up, so I google it. Wow, there are really many scary images that people costumes and make up! It is pretty cool, so I choose one of the picture as a sample that I want to make up. I can not drink alcohol because I did not bring my ID with birth date on it although I told security that I am studying wine business in Adelaide Uni. Well it's alright. Let's look at some horrible pictures!

An amazing grapevine

Hi, look at this over one hundred years old grapevine in Langmeil Winery. It is so amazing that it has the longest history in Barossa Valley.

Hi, I have a quick trip in Dan Murphy's after the lecture. I saw some familiar brands, such as Jacob's Creek, Penfolds, Wolf Blass and so on. While, it is not my destination, today, I am looking for some unfamiliar brands with beautiful label! Here it is!

Which label do you like best? I prefer to the label of first one and bottle of the second one because the cap of first wine is blue.It is not tradition but a little bit romantic.It may suitable for female. All of them are about $14. Same variety, same price and same unfamiliar brand, I gonna choose the first one because of the label.
(First: Evans & Tate Cloud Dancer Sauvignon Blanc 2013;
 Second: Marlborough Ridge Sauvignon Blanc 2012;
 Third: Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2013 )
But I did not buy it! Why? Because I have got five bottles of wine in my home. And I will recommend one of those.

It comes from Jacob's Creek. I bought it in my last wine tourism in cellar door of Jacob's Creek. The variety is Shiraz. It is recommended to me by a stuff. The first taste of it, I do not like it because I did not find any special features in it. But it is very long length, the aftertaste in month is pretty good that is also the reason why I choose it. It has black berry and dark chocolate character. I also like the bottle sharp of it. You can buy it only in cellar door.
